Vancouver Island Mental Health Society (VIMHS) is a non-profit charitable organization demonstrating excellence in psychosocial rehabilitation for adults with mental health and addictions concerns, and/or cognitive challenges. We engage communities through programs that promote recovery, social inclusion, safe housing, and public education.
We operate Gateway House, a 10 bed licensed residence which provides 24/7 support.
We have 2 semi-independent residences housing a total of 13 people who require a moderate amount of support.
We operate Boundary Crescent, a 41 unit supportive housing program.
VIMHS operates a sobering and assessment centre in CAmpbell River - provide a safe place to rest for substance affected individuals.
Our COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAM provides education to the larger community regarding mental illness, addictions and homelessness.
