Mission Statement:
The Canadian Institute for Jewish Research (CIJR) aims to strengthen public and student understanding of Jewish Israel as a unique democratic society in its challenging Middle Eastern context. It also seeks to throw light on antisemitism and key Jewish-world issues generally, ensuring Jewish continuity by working with students, on and off campus.

Geographic Focus:
CIJR is based in Montreal and Toronto, operating primarily in Canada with international reach through its publications and activities. It engages with students across Canada and maintains a global perspective on Israel and Middle East issues.

Program Highlights:
CIJR communicates through various publications, including the Daily Isranet Briefing and ISRAFAX, which feature analytical articles and data on key Israel- and Jewish-world-related issues. The Institute also hosts seminars, conferences, and colloquia featuring respected scholars and specialists. It supports student programs like the Student Israel Advocacy Seminars and the Israel Learning Seminar, which focus on combating antisemitism and anti-Zionism on campus and in the media.
