Research, writing, publication and sale of books and DVDs on the history of British Columbia railways. Dissemination of historical information to Association members and the public. After many years of research, the Association completed in 2013 a three-book series on the history of Vancouver Island's Esquimalt & Nanaimo Railway from 1886 to the present time, covering the steam, diesel and Dayliner passenger train era. Currently, our major projects are: Documenting and scanning a large collection of negatives and colour slides depicting early B.C. Railway history and also preservation and scanning of the Dave Wilkie collection of colour slides held in safe keeping at the West Coast Railway Association Museum at Squamish. Recovering our cost of research and printing our three books through sale by our distributor.
