The Brian Todd Memorial Community Fund was initially incorporated under the name Brighton Health Services Centre in 2002. Using a building under the same name, the charity's volunteer Board of Directors served as landlords to the building's tenants which included a YMCA fitness facility, a Family Health Team, and a Community Access Centre satellite office. Operating surpluses were annually donated to local charitable organizations, including Victorian Order of Nurses, two local hospital foundations, local food bank, Meals on Wheels, and others. The building was transferred to the Municipality of Brighton in 2017, and the name of the charity was re-named the Brian Todd Memorial Community Fund shortly thereafter. Using proceeds from the property transfer, as well as ongoing charitable donations from the general public, support for local charitable organizations continues.
