The organization operated a mobile soup kitchen bus known as the "STREET CONNECTION",serving regular stops in four low-incomeareas of the Halifax Regional Municipality-generally on a weekly basis. Food items were distributed free of charge to needy families and individuals. Using the ministry van, one other low-income area of the HRM received regular deliveries of food items. At Christman, the organization carried out its annual Christmas Outreach. The five locations where we regularly operate were visited. Approximately 260 families received a turkey and two loaves of bread. Hundreds of gift bags for children were also distributed as well as new socks and winter accessories. The organozation could not operate its charitable program without the help of volunteers. Approximately 20 volunteers give their time to help this charity.
