Food For Thought - Brandon's Breakfast & Snack Program for Kids is a non-profit organization made up of community minded people who wanted to start a program in the community that would address children attending school hungry. There are 14 K-8 schools and 4 high schools in the Brandon & Shilo area. This program operates in 18 out of 22 schools in the Brandon School Division and feeds over 59,000 breakfast/snack/lunches in a school year. It is well supported by the community itself. The Board of Directors believe that no child should attend school hungry and provides a nutritional breakfast or emergency snack/lunch 5 days a week for the duration of each school year.
