Museum: Collecting, preserving and presenting Bowen Island artifacts through a series of seasonally changing Museum exhibits. Archives: Collecting, preserving and making available Bowen Island photographs, documents, maps, newspapers and interviews with long term residents through website and on-site visits. Both the Museum and Archives are active in outreach programmes, such as Heritage Week, Community Schools interactive programmes, including Junior Curator, and Rembemberance Day presentations in conjunction with the Legion
Digitisation of Archives material is in progress to enhance security and access. Thanks to a Canada 150 grant, improved archival storage equipment and new Museum display equipment was purchased.
