We are a dragon boat team of breast cancer survivors. We provide and promote healthy and active lifestyles for breast cancer survivors through dragon boat activities - team fitness, pool practices, lake practices and dragon boat competitions. We promote breast cancer awareness by participating in our community at events sponsored by our local hospital and other charities such as Christmas Cheer and the CIBC run for the Cure. Our charity takes annual pledges and donates this money to the Royal Victoria Hospital Cancer Care Centre in Barrie, Ontario and the Kelly Shires Foundation.

The dragon boat team is raising funds to help offset expenses for members of our team to go to Florence Italy in July 2018 to participate in the International Breast Cancer Paddling Commission (IBCPC) participatory dragon boat festival. This event takes place every four years and is hosted in different countries. 2018 is the first year that the festival will be held in Europe.
