Mission Statement
Art Gallery of Bancroft supports and promotes creativity in the Bancroft community. The gallery believes that art is vital to a healthy community, inspiring people, giving hope, and touching the soul in ways words cannot. It is a not-for-profit gallery operated by dedicated volunteers, aiming to sustain and celebrate the arts locally.

Geographic Focus
The gallery focuses on serving Bancroft, Ontario, and the surrounding rural communities. It highlights local culture and aims to nurture artists from the area, while also featuring work from creators "near and far." The Art Gallery of Bancroft is well established as a central arts hub in Bancroft and contributes to the vibrant creative scene in Hastings County and Central Ontario.

Program Highlights
The Art Gallery of Bancroft hosts up to 10 exhibitions per year, showcasing a wide range of local and regional artists. Its monthly exhibitions include opening receptions where visitors can meet the artists. The gallery also operates a shop offering works by member artists, including paintings, prints, pottery, stained glass, and fibre arts. Special initiatives include exhibitions aligned with significant community events, such as Indigenous and settler artist shows marking the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The gallery welcomes submissions from artists of all backgrounds and provides opportunities for artists at all career stages to display their work in a professional setting.
