The Archives Association of BC (AABC) has two main ongoing programs: 1. BC Archival Education & Advisory Services: A professional archivist offers advice,courses and workshops to archives and individuals in BC,including basiceducation in the management of archival materials and archives themselves; 2. BC Archival Network Services is responsible for the development and maintenance of the AABC website and publicly accessible data base of archival records held by Archives throughout the province. In addition,the AABC provide information of a genereal nature to members and other interested parties regarding archives and best practices,sponsors annual conference and supports students in archival studies. The AABC received a second year of funding through Library and Archives/Documentary Heritage Communities Program and was able to offer another year ofCommunity Archives Regional Training and Development Clinics. An advisor presented various clinics throughout the Province. providing advice and training to community archives with a focus on increasing capacity in institutions for making documentary heritage available. In addition,site visits wereconducted.
