SERVICES AND PROGRAMS BASIC NECESSITIES PROGRAM The society distributes goods and food to those in need and provides prepared meals to the homeless and others whose circumstances demand it. Meals are served at its premises and on the streets. Similarly, clothes, shoes, beltys, hats, scarves and other basic necessities are distributed all over southern Ontario to those in need. The Society, also, provides counseling services to rehabilitate patrons towards self-suffiency and the re-integration into mainstream society. NEWCOMER SETTLEMENT PROGRAM We provide Cultural sensitivity orientation, Employment readiness and job search 9resume preparation, interviewing skills, and placement referrals), Legal and administrative support, Escort to community resources, Basic Ed8cation, English as a second language. JOB SEARCH WORKSHOP PROGRAM Job readiness training, resume preparation, interviewing skills and dress fr success skills are taught job seekers. WOMEN'S PROGRAM New immigrants find it very traumatic to "drop" what they consider as time-tested cultural norms. The Society provides counseling in this regard
