1.To assist families, caregivers, and professionals with state-of-the-art stategies for effective care giving. 2. Provide information by mail, public forums, workshops, and on the website. 3.Provide support groups for those suffering from Alzheimers and other forms of dementia and respite for their families and caregivers. 4. Provide referrals to community services. 5. Maintain resources (collectionof books, videos, etc.) throughout Alberta and Northwest Territories for those interested in learning more about Alzheimers and other forms of dementia. 6.Fund research that targets improving the quality of life for those afflicted with Alzheimers and other forms of dementia. 7. Fund research aimed at discovering the cause of the disease and development of treatment possibilities.
