JBVC’s 2026 Year of Impact

Joy Beyond Vision Community (JBVC) is a Canadian faith-based registered charity dedicated to supporting blind and visually impaired people (VIP). Since we only host a formal fundraising campaign every two years, 2026 is a critical year for our mission. We invite you to join us for three flagship events designed to foster community, enhance capacity, and nurture faith (CCF).

Our Three Landmark 2026 Events :

• JBVC 2026 Walkathon & Carnival (Saturday, May 30): A day of awareness and inclusion at the Toronto Chinese Methodist Church (TCMC).
- 5K Run & Walk: An accessible route through the local neighbourhood specifically designed for VIP participants and supporters.
- Interactive Carnival: Experience "The VIP Perspective" through 20 booths focused
on the daily challenges of food, housing, and transport.
- Community Activities: Enjoy Braille learning stations, handmade craft booths, a BBQ lunch, and powerful live testimonies and music.

• Music Busking (Saturday, August 22): A vibrant community event where various music groups and bands perform to raise funds for JBVC. Individuals are also welcome to donate to have the opportunity to perform on stage and share their talents!

• Dinner Gala (Sunday, October 25): Our signature fundraising dinner to celebrate the progress of our community and the journey ahead.

Why Your Support Matters

In 2025, JBVC delivered 342 programs designed to empower VIPs and their families, impacting 5,849 individuals. It costs approximately $22 to enable one VIP to participate in a life-changing JBVC program. Because we fundraise biennially, your support this year sustains these essential programs through 2027.
