Cougar Annie’s Garden and the surrounding 117-acre property is situated within the densest rainforest in the world. The garden is the last vestige of the homesteading period (1885 to 1920) on the West Coast. No other wilderness property has such strong cultural and natural values.
Boat Basin Foundation asks you to reflect upon the significance of the cultural and natural history the ‘Cougar Annie Property’. With over 90% of large old-growth forests of Vancouver Island and signs of early settlement elsewhere now gone, this property clearly is unique and in need of protection.
